Question

Unusually long review process - No approval or rejection submitted images

Hello,

For the last 15+ days, over 280+ of my submitted files have been stuck in “In Review” status on Adobe Stock. None of them have been approved or rejected in the queue during this time. Previously, the review process usually took 2–5 days at most in my case.

I’ve checked my submission types again. They are mostly generative AI and follow all the current submission guidelines. Titles, keywords and categories are all set correctly.

Is anyone else facing such unusual delays?
Is there any ongoing issue or backlog at Adobe Stock that might be causing this?

I’d appreciate any insights, advice or even confirmation if others are facing the same thing.

Thanks in advance.

It's the new normal, which we suspect is at least partially due to contributors uploading 100's and even 1000's of AI assets at the same time, often unedited. These contributors seem happy if they upload 100 assets and at least 20 are accepted, since they will just upload 100 more the next day. At least that's my theory. We're not sure why Adobe doesn't set stricter limits on the number of assets a contributor can submit within a given time period.

I understand and I already know the rules.
But my concern is why my profile review has suddenly stuck as I am uploading some images daily. But it is not reviewing even one single image whereas before it was reviewing some images every day.

I've had photos unreviewed for over four months, yet other newly uploaded photos are reviewed within a day or two.
This, coupled with the fact that I've gone from an 80% or higher acceptance rate (over 15,000 accepted photos) to an 80% or higher rejection rate, for reasons so strange and disparate that it's clear they weren't taken by humans but by an AI, has led me to stop uploading content and not waste my time.
I check in here from time to time to see how things are going, and we'll see in the future. In the meantime, I've signed up for Alamy and I'm uploading there alongside my usual agencies (Shutterstock and iStock).

Reviews of submitted assets have been particularly spotty late, sometimes with long delays (over 8 weeks), while others are having assets reviewed within 24 hours of submission. Adobe has not come forward with an explanation as to why this is happening, and one's only option is to continue waiting.

Thanks for your response.

I’m aware of the usual Adobe Stock review timelines and understand delays can happen.

For the past 15 days, none of any submitted files (over 250+) have been approved, rejected or reviewed. This includes newly submitted files as well. Previously, my review times typically ranged from 2 to 5 days, so this sudden halt feels abnormal.

I’m wondering:

  • Is this my account-specific issue?

  • Should I continue submitting new files or hold off for now? (I’ve stopped uploading for the last 4 days due to this situation.)

Review times are unpredictable and variable. 15 days is not a long time to wait. I have some that have waited between 4 and 11 months, though one that I submitted yesterday was reviewed (and rejected) overnight.
