Urgent: Cannot verify phone number - "An error occurred" for all Indonesian numbers on Contributor signup

Hi Adobe Stock Moderators,

I'm completely blocked from activating my Adobe Stock Contributor account due to a phone verification bug.

**Account Email**: sidjayong.aff@gmail.com
**Country**: Indonesia  
**Error Message**: "An error occurred while performing this action" - appears instantly when I submit ANY Indonesian phone number at contributor.stock.adobe.com

**Troubleshooting I've done**:
- Tried 3 different numbers: +62813xxx, +62822xxx, +62852xxx (Telkomsel & XL)
- Tested Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Incognito mode
- Tested Mobile Data, WiFi Indihome, VPN Singapore/US
- Tried different times of day for 3 consecutive days
Result: Same error every time. No SMS code ever received.

This appears to be a known system-wide issue for Indonesian contributors based on multiple community posts. Can a moderator please manually activate my contributor account and bypass the SMS 2FA requirement?

I have commercial content ready for upload and a client deadline this week. I can provide my KTP/ID for verification if needed.

You are not addressing Adobe Stock employees here. This is a public forum and you should not give your private email.

Adobe is currently not accepting new registrations for Adobe Stock contributors from Indonesia.

The issue with the telephone numbers (+62) falling into a generic error message or a verification loop is a direct result of a country-level registration block.

What is Happening?

When new users try to sign up, the platform blocks the process at the SMS verification step. Community experts and official platform moderators have confirmed that:

  • Indonesia is currently on the restricted list for new contributor accounts.

  • The system doesn't always show a clear "country not supported" message. Instead, it triggers generic errors like "An error occurred while performing this action" or loops back to the phone number entry page.

Why the Restriction?

While Adobe rarely publishes exact, real-time country lists in their general FAQs, these temporary or permanent geolocation blocks are typically put in place due to:

  • High risks of administrative fraud or spam.

  • International trade compliance and banking/payout regulations.

  • Legal and tax compliance adjustments specific to certain jurisdictions.

Hi Ralph, thanks for your input. 

However, I believe this is a technical SMS bug, not a country restriction. Adobe Stock still lists Indonesia as a supported country for contributors and payouts via PayPal.

Several Indonesian contributors were manually activated by Adobe Staff this year after reporting the same "An error occurred" bug. The error message itself indicates a system failure, not a geo-block.

@MatHayward @AmandaR Could an Adobe Staff member please confirm and help manually activate my account? I have commercial assets ready and can provide KTP for ID verification. Thank you.
