Hello, everyone! 👋
I’m Reezky Pradata, an Adobe Stock Contributor from Indonesia with over 5 years of experience in the industry. I’ve built a portfolio of more than 20,000 high-quality assets and am passionate about sharing knowledge about the microstock world. Beyond contributing, I’m also an influencer in the microstock community in Indonesia, with 185k+ followers on social media and 35k subscribers on YouTube. It’s great to be here among such a talented group of creators and professionals!
I wanted to bring up an issue that has been affecting me and, I believe, other contributors as well. This is not only about my personal experience but also a concern for the broader contributor community.
The Issue: Illegal Downloads and System Exploitation
There have been cases where fraudulent accounts download assets illegally, creating false impressions of rule violations on legitimate contributors' accounts. Unfortunately, I’ve been directly affected by this issue:
- Many contributors include my account has been targeted by these fraudulent activities, leading to potential misrepresentation that I’m breaking Adobe Stock rules.
- Despite reporting this issue multiple times to Adobe Support, the responses have been vague and unhelpful—essentially saying, "As long as no rules are broken, everything will be fine."
- In the past, my previous account was banned under similar circumstances, even though I had raised the issue beforehand.
Why This Matters:
- This loophole not only harms contributors like me but also damages the trust and experience of all Adobe Stock contributors globally.
- Many contributors, including those from Indonesia and other countries, have reported similar incidents, which highlights a systemic problem in the platform.
- If this issue persists, it risks discouraging creators from contributing to Adobe Stock.
What I’m Asking For:
- Community Support: If anyone here has experienced similar issues, please share your story. Together, we can bring more visibility to this problem.
- Action from Adobe Stock Representatives: If there are representatives from Adobe Stock here, I kindly ask you to review this situation and push for improvements in the system to address these vulnerabilities.
- Solutions to Prevent Exploitation: It’s crucial to identify and fix the bug or loophole that allows these fraudulent activities to occur.
Additional Suggested Solutions for Adobe Stock
To address the issue of illegal downloads and prevent similar problems from occurring in the future, I propose the following solutions:
1. Enhanced Security Measures:
Adobe Stock should implement stricter verification processes to detect and prevent fraudulent accounts from downloading assets illegally. This could include advanced AI-based fraud detection systems, stronger account verification methods, and regular audits of suspicious activities.
2. Fair Handling of Payout Issues:
In cases where illegal downloads are detected, instead of banning the contributor's account—especially when they have no involvement in the fraudulent activity—Adobe Stock could adjust the affected payouts accordingly. This approach would ensure fairness for contributors and avoid unnecessary penalties on their accounts
3. Transparent Communication:
If any anomalies are detected in an account’s activity, Adobe should communicate directly with the contributor to clarify and resolve the issue, rather than taking immediate punitive actions like account suspension or banning.
4. Bug Fixes and System Improvements:
It’s crucial for Adobe Stock to thoroughly investigate and resolve any system vulnerabilities that allow exploitation. Closing these loopholes will not only protect contributors but also uphold the platform's credibility and trustworthiness.
By adopting these measures, Adobe Stock can create a more secure and supportive environment for its contributors. This will help maintain trust within the community and prevent further harm caused by fraudulent activities or unfair penalties.
I’m here to collaborate, share, and support the Adobe Stock community, and let’s work together to make the Adobe Stock ecosystem better for everyone. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I’m happy to discuss this further with anyone interested.
Warm regards,
Reezky Pradata
