Vector file defaults

Question

Hey there,

i did lots of vector uploads some years ago. Now i want to get back into the contributors business 😉
and i see, there are some things different about uploading vectors. When i uploaded my last files a few years ago, the defaults were:

- .eps10
- convert fonts to paths
- additionally JPG preview image
- all together as a zip file

If I have understood correctly, I can now upload .ai and i no longer have to create an additional preview image? The fonts also no longer have to be converted into paths? So just save .ai and ready?

That's correct. With fonts, however, you should use what is available on Adobe fonts. Don't use a font that needs to be acquired separatly.

If your asset allows for it, it will be offered also as a PNG file, so make sure, you have a transparent background. That will add to the usability, as pixel asset users do not need to pass via Ai to use the asset.

Make also sure to include the PDF preview. That also helps users not having access to Ai to eventually use the asset as a vector file.
