Question

Video shots are too warm on adobe stock

I have a problem where my videos that I post look much warmer on the adobe stock site than they do on my system and the preview thumbnails on the adobe stock site. ie. The colors look right in all stages on my system and they still look right in the thumbnail on adobe stock, but once I mouse over the thumbnail or press play, the shots are much warmer.

My workflow is native logc .mp4 files -> Davinci resolve color space setting for video and output set to gamma 2.4 -> uncompressed .mov -> Adobe Media encoder -> ProRes 422 -> upload.

Here's an example: https://stock.adobe.com/stock-photo/id/805938330

The extra warmth really kills the shot. Any idea how to fix this?

Isn't it possible if you can edit the clip and make it a little color or decrease the warmth of the clip. You can adjust it by yourself and it'll a lot easier for you. There're several apps available.

Sure, I could do that and deliver a file to the customer that is way too cold compared to the preview on Adobe stock. I'd prefer to present the best possible preview to the customer and have the file they download appear the same. Also, the preview thumbnail color, which matches my grade, *does not* match the preview video, causing an unpleasant color shift when you mouse over shots, this is also not ideal and overcompensating will not fix this. Just check the link and you will see what I mean.

It may still be your workflow, as you are the first who I see, who is complaining about this.

I'm assuming it is my workflow. I just have no idea what it is in my workflow that is causing this specific issue with adobe stock. All of my AI shots that do not exhibit this issue. Regardless, I have done many test uploads using different color space combinations and workflow and every possibility I can think of as well as testing other video streaming sites/stock sites, streaming on my mac vs PC, quicktime player....none of them exhibit this issue.

I'd be very appreciative if someone from Adobe could look at my shot and tell me why the preview is so different and the video is so off and what I can do on my end to fix this.

I just did a test by uploading this same file to another stock site and the colors are correct on that site. It appears to be an issue only with Adobe stock.
