Question

We're not allowed to use recognizable people in Illustrative/editorial content. Does that only apply to models? Or would it also apply to a mural?

Hello,

I read that we're not allowed to use recognizable people in Illustrative/editorial content, but I’m not 100% clear. Does the rule only apply to models? Or would it also apply to a mural?

Sorry if this is a dumb question; sometimes I overthink things.

Thank you

I’m not sure how any mural (with or without people) fits the Illustrative Editorial category.

At Adobe Stock, we define illustrative editorial as conceptual imagery designed to illustrate articles on current events and newsworthy topics.  This type of content often features images of real brands and products — like signs on buildings, soda cans, computers, and cars — to convey a story. Illustrative editorial content is made available to Adobe Stock customers for editorial use only.

It’s not a workaround to an artist’s signed property release— which you would need to sell images of artwork.

    Hope that helps.
