Website is selling licensed Adobe Stock images

This is my 3rd attempt to post this. Is Adobe is censoring posts?

I discovered this website was selling my image on it's site. When typing in keywords, I recognized the images of other Adobe Contributors as well.

I'm going to take the high road here. It is not your place to judge my perspective of this situation. I am completely aware of the concept of volume sales. I don't need for you to simplify it to make it easier for me to understand. Personally, I think you have sold yourself a bill of goods. Just because they pay a little more than other services, doesn't make it okay. It's like a dog being grateful that it gets to lick the crumbs off the floor.

Hi @lkyp,

I can't comment on the other interactions posted here. I have requested our customer care to reach out to you regarding your original complaint of copyright infringement. Someone should be reaching out to you soon.

Companies who license the Adobe Stock API can display the entire Adobe stock catalog (in low resolution, with watermarks) as part their product catalog. You cannot opt out of this. If their customer makes a purchase, then the Adobe Stock API automatically purchases a license to your own image, so that it can be used for whatever purpose they pay for - in this case a wall mural. You are paid, the customer gets the mural. Everyone is happy, perhaps.

How can you tell if this is the case with a web site? Adobe don't give us a list for checking. I'm not sure how to answer this...

They are direct selling, posters, etc.

Forget it. I'm removing my work. I can't believe that all these years that this is the way it works. The contributors are like slave labor. They do all the work, get paid basically nothing, Adobe get their share, then anybody can sell my work as many times and for as much as they want for not doing a damn thing? This system sucks. imho.

I discovered that another website has been selling one of my licenced images on their website.

Having been to the Adobe Stock page that contains my image, I was able to recognize other contributors products were also being used on this website. This is the Adobe file number for my image. File #: 118764193

I addressed this issue through to Adobe through chat help. I received a auto-generated email acknowledgement that had absolutely nothing to do with my request. It made reference to a billing issue.

I inquired again through chat and one told that Adobe was aware of the issue and had my previous request info. I couple of days later, I received another email informing me that my case (still billing) was closed.

I have never received any feedback regarding how Adobe was handling this. I went to the website today, and my product is still appearing for sale along with that of other contributors. I have no idea what if anything Adobe is doing about this. I find it very concerning.

Adobe partners with other agencies to sell your Stock inventory.

Why does this concern you?  It gives your work greater exposure so you can potentially make more sales. 🙂

They are selling posters of my images for $175.00. My understanding is that my adobe images can be used for display purposes, not for resale.

This usage case is described on the following Help page. Scroll down to "API Program".

This is one of the sites selling Adobe stock pictures using the sock API as laid out here: https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/content-usage.html

As for your posting problem: There are indeed several words that get filtered out, and are not allowed to be posted.

A second possibility is a problem that haunts these fora from time to time are that you can't post something until you do a refresh, which makes you lose your entry. In such a case (either rare), you need to do a select-copy and after the refresh a paste. I have to say, that I did not see this a long time ago.

I will move this to the contributor forum.

Thank you. Make sense, but I didn't even know it had been deleted until I received a reply by email that my post couldn't be commented on. Then he sent another telling me that it had disappeared.

Hi @lkyp,

Apologies regarding the difficulties you've been having posting to the forums. There is a process for reporting misuse of your intellectual property. Please review the information here: https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/how-to-report-suspected-misuse-of-your-intellectual-property.html

Already reported it as you are suggesting. But I never received a response as to the status of it. Instead, I received an email regarding a non-existent billing issue. Since my first two posts that were deleted today, I received an email from my first report awhile back, that they are working on it. I guess I needed to make it transparent to get some attention.
