What about to change the currency?

Hi, given the situation it would be nice if we could be paid in a currency other than US dollars. I mean whatever stable currency. What do you say?

Precious metals and gems would nice., but that's not going to happen.

Adobe used to support different currencies until a few years ago; they standardized on USD, which I suppose was partly to be more efficient and probably also partly to shift the exchange risk elsewhere...

All in all, it puts the exchange risk (and fees) on the contributor's side. But OK, some even prefer it that way, especially when their currency is weak.

I would say yes, but you have to know that Adobe just switched all the accounts to USD. BTW, formerly, some people were complaining, that the currency they where paid in, did rapidly lose value against the dollar.

 

In other words, it's really not worth to complain about this. There are days where you win, there are days where you lose. At the end of the day, it will be the same for all of us.
