Question

What is the problem with this photo?

Dear Community,

I wanted to dip my feet into the ocean by uploading my first photo to Adobe stock but unfortunately it got rejected because of quality issues. I checked the guide, read it what could this mean but to be honest I could not find any of those problems with it.

Do you see any particular reason why this photo was rejected because of quality issues?

Any help, hint would be deeply appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

Tamás

    Hi @TamasSzabolics

Too much of your picture is out of focus. It also has chromatic noise and is pixilated.

    Out of focus

Chromatic noise (Color fringing) and noise grains

Zoom in at between 100 and 200% and you will be able to identify the quality of your images.

A good attempt at framing the subject, but the foreground leaves are out of focus.

Thank you @daniellei4510. Okay I see the problem more clearly now. So the bottom out of focus part is too much and that could have triggered the rejection. I will take extra care for those as well before uploading photos then. Thank you for your time to have a look.

The DOF seems to be too shallow, causing most of the image to be out of focus.

Thank you @Jill_C. I was framed like this to be the monkey in focus. But in general too shallow DOF is a problem when uploading photos? Most of the photos should be in focus?

It’s not necessary for the entire frame to be in focus, but Adobe seems to prefer that more of the frame be in focus, particularly the foreground. In fact, the blurry foreground is the first thing I noticed in the image, not the monkey.
