Question

When does new contributor content start appearing to customers?

Hello everyone,

I have been uploading content to Adobe Stock for over a month and currently have around 50 videos in my portfolio. Most of my work consists of background videos.

I would like to ask when new contributors’ content usually starts appearing to customers. Is there a certain review period or a minimum number of uploads required before the content becomes more visible in search results?

Thank you in advance for your help.

It depends on what you’re selling.  If your assets are in high demand and there’s little competing content to choose from, customers will find you eventually in organic web searches.

Stock contains over 25 MILLION video backgrounds. So you have some potent competition for sales.

Try adding other videos of interest to diversify your Stock Portfolio.

    Good luck.

    1. The Review Phase (Approval)

Before an asset is available to anyone, it must be approved by the Adobe moderation team. The time this takes depends heavily on the type of content:

    Content Type Typical Review Time
    Photos & Vectors 5 – 15 business days
    Illustrations 5 – 15 business days
Generative AI 1 – 2 months (due to high volume)
    Videos 5 – 15 business days

Note: These are averages. Some contributors report approvals in as little as 24 hours, while others face delays during high-volume periods or holidays.

    2. The Indexing Phase (Visibility)

Once you receive the "Approved" email, the asset is technically in your portfolio, but it may not be immediately searchable by customers.

    • Portfolio Visibility: Usually occurs within a few hours of approval. You should see it listed in your public contributor profile.

    • Search Engine Indexing: It typically takes 24 to 48 hours for the asset to be fully indexed and appear in global search results.

    • Ranking "Boost": New assets often receive a temporary visibility boost in the "Recent" search filter to help the algorithm test their performance with buyers.

    Factors That Can Delay Visibility

If your assets are approved but still not appearing after 48 hours, consider these factors:

    • Regional Restrictions: Some countries require additional vetting to comply with local laws, which can delay appearance in those specific regions.

    • Keyword Processing: If your metadata (titles/tags) is being re-indexed or contains flagged terms, it might take longer to surface in specific searches.

    • Cache Issues: Sometimes the customer-facing site lags behind the contributor portal. Try checking your portfolio via an Incognito/Private browser window.

    @Saro_art

After the image has been accepted the image is available to be seen/ viewed. As others have mentioned it also depends on your country.

When tagging your images: find a niche that has fewer images w a decent search volume.

    Cheers

    Hi @Saro_art ,

Once your files are accepted, they enter the Adobe marketplace within 24 hours. Due to the vast number of assets already submitted, it will likely take new contributors a few months to start seeing sales, due to their small portfolio. The idea is to build your profile with regular high-quality submissions, and sales should come within the year.

    Best wishes

Do you see the accepted images on your Dashboard page?

I believe assets become available to buyers immediately after they’re approved. You’ll probably be able to find them by searching for the title or tags. I remember selling one just a few hours after it was approved once.

Where are you from? Some countries require additional vetting before it is made available. Otherwise, your content is made available immediately upon acceptance.

    According to a Google search:

Based on typical Adobe community forum advice and platform policies, here is how this affects users in Azerbaijan:

    • Additional Vetting: Assets in restricted regions undergo extra vetting to comply with local laws.
    • Visibility Issues: New contributors in these areas may see 0 assets in their portfolio, even after their images have been accepted, because they have not yet passed this extra regional vetting.
    • Regional Restrictions: While your images may be approved globally, they may not be immediately visible or available for purchase in Azerbaijan.
    • Workaround: To see if your content is live for the rest of the world, you can change your region/country setting to a non-restricted region (e.g., "Germany" or "Canada").
