Why are my EPS icons showing tiny in the corner after uploading, when using multiple artboards?

I,m creating icons in Adobe Illustrator using 20+ artboards in the same document.
When I save each artboard as an EPS using Use Artboards, the file previews normally inside Illustrator.
However, after uploading to Adobe Stock, the preview shows my icon very small in the top-left corner with a lot of empty space.

I suspect it’s related to the way multiple artboards are positioned on the canvas (pasteboard) in the document, but I’m not sure how to fix it so Adobe Stock previews them correctly centered and full-size.

What I’ve tried:

  • Aligning artwork to the artboard center

  • Fitting artboard to artwork bounds

  • Removing stray points and hidden objects

  • Rearranging artboards with smaller spacing

Question:
How can I prepare my Illustrator file (with multiple artboards) so that each exported EPS uploads to Adobe Stock with the icon centered and filling the preview, instead of appearing tiny in a corner?

I’m currently using Adobe Illustrator 2021, and the highest available “Version” option when saving is Illustrator 2020. Is it acceptable to save in this format? Also, if I enable the compression option, will it cause any issues with my design after uploading or result in any violation of Adobe’s submission rules?

Thanks for your so kind responces

Why are you not using the latest Illustrator version? What is your OS?

Illustrator 2020 is OK, yes. And compression is, as I said, lossless. No need to worry about that.

I do not upload EPS files and I do not upload files using multiple artboards, but you have to know that artbords is a "recent" addition to Illustrator.

Check what happens when you import the file back into Adobe Illustrator, or may be better Inkspace.

Try a clipping mask to the artboard. If that does not help:

My suggested solution would be, to duplicate the file once for each artboard and to delete in each file all data and artboards that are outside of the correct artboard.

It isn't very easy for me, so I am looking for upload my vectors as AI format, so kindly tell me the options i should follow to save AI format file. Like:
Version: which one , 10 or any ?
Create PDF Compatible File: yes/no?
Embed ICC profiles: yes/no?
Use Compression: yes/no?
I will save using "save each artboard to separate file" option.
thanks .

Version: the latest, include PDF: yes, embed profile: yes. Other parameters are irrelevant, but compression should be used to keep the file small. Compression is anyhow lossless here. Do not use any fonts that are not either part of fonts.adobe.com or in the public domain.
