Hi everyone, I want your help in finding the main reason why my photos have not been sold yet. I also want from your experience on this site the shortest period in which you get your first sale. Thank you for your help.

I started contributing to Adobe Stock about 8 years ago, and even though the database was much smaller than it is now it took 3-4 weeks before I got my first sales.

You need a substantial portfolio, 2,000+ images with a variety of themes. Sales can be affected by seasonality. If you have many seasonal assets, they'll only sell prior to the season that they portray. If your assets are in very competitive categories, for which thousands of similar assets are already in the assets with the same keywords, it's possible that Buyers aren't even seeing your images. If they're many pages down in the search results, Buyers won't spend that much time reviewing and selecting assets. Look for unique topics and submit only the best quality assets.

Hi @chabane40_3136 ,

Your first sale will depend on variety, volume, quality, uniqueness and demand among other factors that you have no control over. You must aim at increasing your portfolio with varied good quality files with correct keywords to describe in details what you submit. The sales will come. Just keep increasing. All of us start selling at different times depending on what we put in - ranging from a month to a year. From my experience volume played a large role in initiating sales.

Best wishes

Give us a link to one of the photos that you expected to sell so that we can compare it to the competition and check the metadata.

While we can't look at your keywords, your titles do not adequately describe the asset. "sand dunes in the desert" should be expanded considerably, such as "Sand dunes in the desert at night time with the Milky Way galaxy glowing overhead".

madinebiro photos, images, assets | Adobe Stock "the beauty of flowers" doesn't tell anything about this asset. "Young woman in comic book style with pink flowers in her hair dressed in traditional Japanese dress standing in a flower shop and holding a pot of flowers" or something such as that... You have a lot of work to do to make your titles, and presumably keywords, much more descriptive.

Sales depend entirely on what customers want & need.  Buying habits vary be seasons & trends.

We can't predict when you'll make sales.  It will happen when your stars align -- content matches what customers are searching for.

If you're hoping to get rich quick here, you're in the wrong place.  At most, Stock will provide you with a modest 2nd income. It won't replace your full-time job.

I can't recall specifically, but I believe it took at least 2 to 3 months for my first sale, after having 500+ assets available. I don't know, It may have been shorter. Selling stock, for most contributors, is NOT passive income. It takes time and work to establish a strong portfolio to the point of reaching daily sales.
