Why did my pictures get rejected? (Sorry to be that guy!)

The second image contains many of the same issues. Lack of sharp details & noise. 

Also potential IP problems.

The first image is too dark.

Lots of noise due to low light conditions. 

Foreground land mass has no sharp details.

This would be unsuitable for use in commercial print.

Slanted horizon line.

Underexposed. Open up the shadows.
