Why don't I see more categories?

While browsing the site, I find many images classified under many different categories, but during the process of uploading images, these categories do not appear in the list.

Don't worry too much about selecting a category. It's said they are hold-overs from Fotolia and are of no great importance. If you write a descriptive, accurate title and keywords, things will probably take care of themselves as far as categories are concerned.

Hi @abdelaziz34170956s376 ,

There are two possibility for not finding categories you see during browsing on your Contributor Account page.

One is these might be categories that are carried over from Fotolia

The other could be categories selected during indexing.

However, selecting correct categories while tagging your files are essential for customers to zero in on the content that will best fit their needs.

Best wishes

There were much more categories available at Fotolia. When Adobe took over, they limited drastically the categories, and to my knowledge, the categories are not used for anything useful.

I'm not sure where you're seeing the Categories in the Buyer Portal. We have been advised repeatedly by Adobe that those categories are essentially irrelevant - a holdover from when Adobe acquired the Fotolia database. I usually just leave the Category at whatever was defaulted when I uploaded my images.
