Question

Why got these images rejected? (generative ai)

Hi friends,

usually my uploads pass the quality check but sometimes i have uploads where 50% or so get rejected bc of quality issues and I can't figure out why.
Here are 3 examples. It's all generative ai so ofc you can't compare it to some A7RIV raws with Zeiss glass.
Every image is around 9000x6000px.
Maybe I should upload in lower resolution so artifacts or noise dont get blown up so much?

What do you think?

Just looking into 2 of your pictures, I saw a bunch of errors at the first sight.

One of those errors seen by the moderator is enough for a refusal. There is no threshold.

I didn't look at all of them, but you should zoom in and carefully inspect the boxes in this image:

The edges are incomplete and not well drawn.

in this one, the wheels don't make sense:

in this one the jet engines are not well drawn, particularly where they attach to the wing, and the landing gear is inconsistent.

These details matter, and the inconsistencies seem all too frequent among Generative AI images.

Thank you for your help and the time you took to analyze the images.

I agree that the bokeh in Exterior_of_a_modern_fulfillment_cente.jpeg is faulty and I see why it would get denied.

But as you said, this seems "all too frequent among Generative AI images". You'll find issues on all of them, that's why they are in "Illustrations" and tagged as generative ai. But sometimes even my minimalistic and abstract backgrounds get denied even though they are razor sharp with no noise.

Fun fact: go to the actual global starting page of Adobe Stock. Look at the thumbnail they handpicked (!) for the category Vectors & Illustrations. It's a deer in a coat that's actually generative ai. That deer is not tagged as generative ai, it's only 12 MP, it has miss-focus on the wall behind it, it's missing a hand and on top of that the deer is in the category "people". Oh and right next to it is another generative ai image that got tagged correctly but it features a 3-leg crow next to a 3-leg deer next to a 5-leg fox in glorious 6MP. And this is their "handpicked collection" on the frontpage.

So I don't want to come off as bitter. I'm actually fine with my current denial rate. It's just... it feels pretty random at times and I don't feel like I can improve because I don't understand the issue on most images.

Generative AI is a new category.  Some machine-generated art was approved BEFORE the new rules went into effect and slipped between the cracks.

Adobe Stock is taking corrective steps to ensure that all new AI is submitted, titled, keyworded and described as "Generative AI Illustration."

If you find some that are not correctly labeled, please submit the IDs to Stock Contributor Support so they can follow-up with the artists.
