Why is this image being rejected?

Correct answer Nancy OShea

The problem with raster drawings is they can't be rescaled.   If I wanted to print this on an XXX large T-shirt, the image would be too small.  If I tried to make the image bigger to fit the T-shirt, the image would become pixelated and very poor quality.  For this reason, drawings should be submitted as vectors to reach a wider base of customers.

Use Photoshop rasters for photographs.

Use Illustrator vectors for flat color drawings, logos, text, icons and infographics.

Hope that helps.

Is this a vector graphic of your own making?

  • Did you submit this as a vector file  - .ai, .eps or .svg?
  • Did you follow the vector submission requirements?
  • Did you submit a signed property release?

Image, no vector. My own.

Something like that needs to be vector. This is not sharp, lots of errors/mistakes in line endings. The tree is neither a Yucca nor anything else that I can identify. Line weight is all over the place, shading is inconsistent. This as a raster image kind of defeats the purpose.
