Question

Why was this photo rejected for quality issues?

Almost all of my photos rejected for quality issues. None of them are edited. These are raw images. Looking for advice, guidance, and/or constructive criticism. Please be nice. I've attached the latest.

“I know I could remove the power lines but then it would lose authenticity. To me, thats important.”

Nevertheless, the pole and power lines are distracting. Especially the lighter ones that tend to appear and disappear as their distance increases. 99.9% of all images submitted to Adobe Stock are going to require editing. The first one: the tree on the left of the frame could be cropped out, or more of it included, as in the second image.

If a user purchases an out-of-focus photo, it will be returned.
Please check the images by enlarging them to 100% on your PC monitor.
Please delete any out-of-focus photos before uploading.

The power poles & power lines are a major distraction.

    The foreground is underexposed.

Images straight out of the camera are not ready for commercial use. Digital photos always require some post-editing in Photoshop or Lightroom before you submit.

Nice sky. But unfortunately, Stock has millions & millions more like this. Even if yours is accepted, your sales potential is very low due to so much competing inventory.

I don't believe it is so much a quality issue, though it is. I believe it is more related to the subject, and you have to ask yourself what a client would use these images for. In addition, you said you also shoot RAW. These pictures are not vibrant, as the images you see on the site. Search for sunsets, electrical wires, and see what comes out. There really is no subject in these pictures. In addition, Adobe does not usually accept backlit subjects so easily, so the tree should have been brighter. I hope this helps.

I found that authenticity doesn't usually count here. They want a direct subject that is prominent and well edited. You need to find a niche and not shoot sunsets and skies because they will never get accepted. If you removed the wires, what would the subject be? The tree? If it were the tree, it would be tilted. It is neither prominently in the picture, well-lit, nor the main subject. You have to be strong in having a main subject. Look through all the stock on Adobe that you think you might want to shoot. See how many pages of it there are. And then pick something that is not well represented on the site
