I thought it was pretty sharp, but maybe it does not meet standards. Is the depth of field an issue?

Viewed at 150%, the photo does not look sharp. Also I believe the sign should be removed.

Remember, there are millions of flower photos in the database. New photos must be exceptional and stand out.

It's a bit underexposed and has blurry edges. As indicated by @EzyRider_II Adobe Stock is overrun with floral images. While they're fun to capture and edit for your own satisfaction, and to advance your skills, I wouldn't waste any time submitting to Adobe. Even if the image was technically perfect, the chance that it would ever sell is close to zero.

No, it's not DOF, it's sharpness. Sharpness is best looked at 100%, and this picture is not sharp. In addition, there is some noise and/or artefacts. Both are probably due to your high ISO.

Hi Paul,
the DoF may very well be a factor, and probably other 5-6-8 areas? And you
may try to dig in and improve your photo through post-production. But here
is the thing! Put yourself in the shoes of a buyer for a sec. Go to the
Adobe site (and that's just one of a dozen) and search for "purple flower".
Adobe will pop up 8 342 359 images. If accepted, yours could be the 8 342
360th. Nice round number! And I would venture to say that out of that 8
million+ at least 4 million probably better than yours. So if you were to
spend $2 on a flower photo, would you pick yours? In other words, no point
submitting something, anything in top of 8 million photos. Storage space
costs Adobe and just to have one more image...? And by all this I don't
want to discourage you from shooting flowers! But there are other factors
beside a sharp image. Cheers.
