Question

Why were contibutors deprived of adobe stock feedbacks to troobleshouting?

Hi, very strange thing, now the Adobe Stock  policy is that your questions this is your questions , your problems are the yours problems. No any hooman in Adobe Stock support? Where and why it was eleminated? Who are the creatures who is analyzing contributors items now? Program code?

There are no creatures, moderators are humans. You are supposed to submit perfect pictures. Moderation is done to protect customers, not to make contributors better photographers.

If a bot or "program code" were analyzing contributor submissions, I suspect we'd see a lot more rejections than some people are seeing now...and a lot more acceptances that we would never want to see. The bot would be programmed to accept or reject submissions based on a set of photographic rules with respect to ideal focusing criteria, compositonal rules, exposure, etc., and such rules are made to be adhered to...or broken...as called for by the subject matter. Not to mention any emotional factors when it comes to judging art of any kind. Yeah, sometimes we might get a human who ordinarily does a great job at moderation but he or she is having an issue with Jane in HR and having a bad day in general and it gets taken out on us. 🙂 Just kidding...kind of...but I suspect the moderators take pride in the job they do and the responsibilities that come with it.

Also, given the limitations we have when it comes to selecting from a limited number of catagories when it comes to assigning just one of those categories to our images, moderators have a limited number of reasons for rejecting a given image, even when there may be multiple reasons. Or even one particular reason not necessarily listed and only the closet one can be selected.

READ ME FIRST

 

It's assumed Stock Contributors are experienced enough to spot their own mistakes.  Reviewers are human.  But they must evaluate thousands of assets each week.  They do not have time to give personal feedback about every rejection.  They never have and never will.  That's not their job. 

 

If you would like feedback from this user-to-user community, please post 1-2 of your rejected images along with the rejection reason Stock gave you.

  • Technical quality, 
  • Non-compliance,
  • Property issue,
  • Aesthetic/commercial appeal,
  • Similar content already submitted,
  • etc...

there is written only 1 reason Quality issues. And that's all. This is not the reason actually, how any contributor could understand what's wrong reading just Quality issues, this is the same as anyone says I don't like it. This is not professional relations and not about bussiness. A cutomer in a market place can say I don't like and go away. Adobe stock this is the platform where some rules were earlier. I say once again in 2021 I could apply for the support help. I asked about why items were in delay to be shown on my profile, and some queations more. Now I do not see the means of support contacts I used just a year and a half  ago approx.

If you have a technical problem with your account, use the link in your Contributor portal to contact Stock Contributor support.  Use a browser that supports cookies and does not have script blockers or VPN enabled.

 

As for quality, that begins with proper light exposure, a good subject, compelling composition, sensible geometry (camera angle), appropriate camera technique (settings) and ends with post-editing skills in Photoshop or Lightroom. 

 

Consider enrolling in photography courses or join a camera club with like minded people who can share their tips and provide one-on-one feedback.

 

As you say, nobody is forcing you to contribute to Stock.  If you think you can do better at another service, go for it.  Adobe Stock does not hold you to an exclusive agreement.

Moderators are human beings who are hired to review assets quickly and either accept or reject. They are not given the opportunity to provide extensive or detailed feedback to Contributors. We, as Contributors, are expected to be able to analyze our own images carefully and edit out any flaws before submission. There is no avenue for you to dispute the findings of a Moderator. Adobe Stock has provided this forum, supported by volunteer successful Stock Contributors, for you to receive further, detailed feedback on your rejected images if you so desire. If you would like to upload 2 or 3 images, we can provide that feedback.

Our information is that humans review the submissions. They do make mistakes and they may have a different opinion. There review cannot be discussed. As an alternative, you have this forum. Several of the members have a lot of expierience and can give you support. Additionaly, some members are under contract from Adobe and maybe can give you more details.

I don't understand what you mean. Submitted work is (so far as we know) reviewed by humans. They are very busy, and to reject it, they press one button, perhaps quality issues, perhaps unsuitable for stock, perhaps IP violation. That's the deal. They cannot be contacted to explain faults in photographs, submittors are expected to be experienced commercial photographers who can find their own faults. Stock Contributor support exists, but mainly for account-related issues, they won't get into a dialogue about submissions. That would take time, and increase costs, and that's not the deal. Far better to lose some great work than spend thousands of hours discussing everyone's issues.

I am sure no any human there anymore. Earlier I used the button to be connected with adobe stock team. Unfortunately, Google mail does not allow to save the letters older than six months. And can't demonstrate you now my chat with adobe stock experts. Everything is moving to the full auto generated proccess. Adobe Stock optimised all their support team, this is what I see. Instead, they offer this support community.

While it's true that some of the support functions  are automated via the chat bot, asset moderation is still done by humans.
