Question

Will the Getty Images-Shutterstock deal be harmful for consumers, contributors?

Hello Adobe Stock Contributors: I'm an antitrust reporter at MLex in Washington, DC and I'm researching the Getty Images-Shutterstock merger and how it will impact competition. This deal will likely have an impact on contributors like yourselves, but also on consumers and what they pay for photos. Adobe keeps being mentioned as one of the many competitors that will keep Getty in check after the merger. Is that true, or will this merger be harmful? How so? No names will be published. Just trying to figure out the market and thought some of you probably have some thoughts on the subject. Thanks Curtis Eichelberger, MLex,[Moderator deleted private information. Not my wheelhouse.  I don't care much what Getty and Shuterstock do.  There are plenty of other fish in the sea.

As a Stock customer, I'll buy assets from whomever has what I need within my budget. Or I'll use AI to create what I need. Simple, simple.

You should not publish your e-mail here. As for the rest, I do not have a specific opinion.
