Withholding taxes in non-U.S. treaty countries

Hello! I have a question regarding the withholding that is applied to the sales of collaborators from countries that do not have a treaty with the United States. In my case I am not withheld for all sales of photos and videos and I don't know why. Could you please help me with information on this matter? I have the W-8BEN form validated until December 2026.

Standard withholding rate is 30%.

Depending on which country you reside in, your withholding rate could be 0 to 30%.

OP lives in a country without a tax agreement, according to OP, so the rate is 30%.

Hello, I know this information because it is published. What I don't understand is why it only applies to some sales and not to others.

I would doubt that, as I'm persuaded that this is done automatically once your tax form is validated. As your country does not have an agreement, there shouldn't even be any difference as 30% gets also deducted without having filled out the form. The only difference is that Adobe does not allow for a payout without a form.

I attach an image where I am charged withholdings. The problem is that they only withhold for some sales and not for others. The form is validated.

So, tell me: Which one is not experiencing the 30% deduction? You only have raw numbers. When they are "subscription" based, you can guess the subscription type. But for custom-type sales you do not know.

Even if the form is not validated, you would have a 30% deduction, so you never know the difference.

I'm sure the tax is deducted. BTW: at the end of the year, you can ask Adobe for a tax certificate, that you may need for your tax declaration. I've never asked that, because my tax office believes me, when I declare my revenue.
