Would it be considered spam to list very similar images with a different color background?

Yes, it's spam.

Better option: Remove the background. Allow customers to add their own backgrounds after purchase.

Transparency is supported by PNG.

Yes, background color change is a simple thing for even a neophyte photo editor to accomplish, so Adobe doesn't want to clutter up the database with multiples of what is essentially the same image.

Thanks for answering. Each image was generated separately on midjourney so there are very slight differences, but yeah probably too similar.
