Question

Adding effects and styles now completely changes the image

I like to generate my own images, then run them through Firefly effects and styles to tweak, try different looks, unify layers etc. I used to be able to do this and control how much the effects and styles would alter the image. Now it seems that adding any effects or styles creates major changes in the image (composition, image elements etc) and I can't control it, no matter which options I tweak in the settings. Is it me, or is it Firefly??

Same thing here. Souch a shame. Many 3 party apps on Iphone are doing much better job. Cant believe its not Adobes priority.

Yeah, there are plenty of alternatives to Adobe at this point... anyway I think it's the Universe's way of saying "stay away from AI"... the environmental and energy costs are reason enough to say No, not to mention the creative theft involved......

im trying to do the same thing, my photo is completely changed by even basic filters. I tried adding a basic water colour filter to a portrait and it gave me a selection of images, most of which weren't even water colour, of a group of people of completely different ethnicities, hair colours and ages

Yeah, I don't understand what the point of all those styles is any more, since they generate uncontrollable results. Maybe Adobe decided their target market is people who want to generate random Whatever and call it art. I use the Photoshop plugin for things like removing and extending, so that's still useful.

The team is working on things and getting ready for Adobe Max. This might be the cause for what's happening. Give a day or 2 and let the team know if this persists.

Thanks for replying! but sadly, when I said "Now" in my post above, what I really meant was "for the last couple months." But ok, I can imagine that the team has been experimenting with Firefly's effects and styles for that long. The settings now make it impossible to have any degree of control other than through text prompts. Unless I'm not understanding how to work with these changes. I'll wait with bated breath and hope for a better tomorrow..........
