Adobe Firefly – Persistent Session Context and Unintended Image Referencing Issue

I would like to report an issue I’ve been experiencing while using Adobe Firefly.

When I open a new tab or enter a new prompt to generate a different image, the system appears to retain context from previously generated images and prompts. As a result, Firefly tends to produce outputs that are unintentionally influenced by earlier creations, even when I aim to create something completely new.

Specifically:

  • Opening a new tab does not reset the context

  • New prompts still seem to be influenced by previous generations

  • The system behaves as if prior images are being used as implicit references

I am not sure whether this is an intentional feature or a technical issue. However, in its current state, it significantly affects workflows that require fully independent image generation.

My expectations:

  • The ability to start a completely independent generation with a new prompt or tab

  • An option to disable automatic referencing of previous images

  • A “reset context” or similar feature to clear prior session data

Hi nika studio!

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience with Adobe Firefly. We understand your concern. While Firefly may retain some session context to support iterative workflows, new prompts should not be significantly influenced by previous generations.

A few suggestions that you could try:

  1. Perform a full page refresh instead of opening a new tab
  2. Clear browser cache or use an incognito/private browsing window.

We appreciate your suggestions, including a “Reset Context” option and better prompt isolation, and will share them with our product team.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Kartika
