Adobe Firefly Review

I cannot begin to tell you how frustrated I am with Adobe Firefly and it's jacked up credit system. Despite writing explicit prompts, my last seven animations have come out the same. The edit function does not make any perceptible changes whatsoever and I shouldnt have to spend credits when the system is doing absoltuely nothing to change the output.

Adobe Firefly is a total scam.

In my most recent prompt, I simply asked firefly to add a slight imperceptible breeze — not douse my flowers in water that looks extremely unnatural. When asking it to remove the water it added and reduce the movement by 95% it produced the exact same output, only 3 seconds shorter.

This should NOT cost me credits.

Hi nothanksidrathernot23455!

Sorry about that. Could you share the prompt and also the reference image if using? Please know that currently, Firefly doesn't understand negative prompting. So, adding it to a prompt will add it to your image. For example, in your prompt, no shadow or corner dark will add shadows and dark corners. You can try to remove these words and see the results.

Thanks,

This happened across several iterations of the same animation, the prompts I used were:

Prompt 1
Delicate dried florals and seed pods gently responding to a light breeze, subtle organic sway in thin stems and petals, slow and natural motion. Cinematic macro composition. Very slow, smooth camera drift creating depth and dimensionality without distraction. Calm, meditative atmosphere. Perfectly seamless loop with cyclical motion, first and last frame visually identical. Avoid jitter, flicker, abrupt movement, or distortion.

Edit Prompt which produced no visual change whatsoever
Reduce movement by 95%. Objects should stay relatively fixed but only move slightly. Avoid jarring movements.

New Prompt
a soft, almost imperceptive breeze subtly moves seedpods and flowers. video must seamlessly loop such that the first and last frame are exactly the same.

All produced similar, poor quality results.

Forgot to mention this but the overall Firefly experience is really lacking when it comes to user education. Had it told me that prompts to remove parts of the animation would not work, I wouldn't have wasted 1k credits just trying to simply make a change that was not possible.

This paradigm is extremely frustrating and ultimately led to me losing credits when no effective change occured.
