All of a sudden, the images made with Firefly are too low in quality. Why is that?

I've been creating images with Firefly for two months now, but unlike the first time, the quality of the images I've created has deteriorated too much recently. Why?

Hello @DaddyDoom,

You can turn fast mode off and still get results as before.

Firefly

Windows11 / Chrome

Hello @jochen_4747,

Thank you for your message.

You are likely generating in fast mode. Please see the message at the top for instructions on how to turn that off.

Thanks,

Please help tech support for Adobe Firefly. I encountered several issues while creating AI art with Adobe Firefly. Firstly, all images downloaded from my personal account were saved to my desktop at a resolution of 512x512 pixels, which does not meet the higher resolution requirements for submissions to Adobe Stock. Upscaling these images to meet the requirements resulted in quality loss, leading to denied submissions. Additionally, my student account at Full Sail University did not present these issues. Please fix or update.

Thank you for your time

Example: Please see Cat in the Hat

Hello @Rhonda Bradley,

Thank you for your message. I am sorry you are having this problem.

It is likely the new "fast mode".  Please see this article:

Images generated in fast mode can be upscaled by pressing this button:

You can also turn fast mode off with this control on the left:

Hello @droopydog500

Thank you for your response  and information in reference to the Adobe Firefly image size issue.

I resolved it by using the upscale button, which allowed me to output the image size at 2048x.

Thank you for your time and help

Bonjour,

Bonjour @miracleship,

Could you please show us a screen recording of this or screen shots if you cannot record the screen?  If you are using fast mode, please try without fast mode and see if that makes a difference.

Bien à vous,

I made an image in firefly when I sent it to express the iage was 512px x 512px. They used to be 2000x 2000. Did I do something wrong?

Has anyone an idea which prompt  to use to get photos with more than 512x512 pixels?

You need to turn off the fast mode.

But also you can upscale.

Why is the resolution so low? We cannot do anything with the images we generate with Adobe Firefly.

October 30, 2024

Hey @FloR38

Sounds like you are using Adobe FF fast mode.

You can upscale the images after you generate the images.
By using the normal, it just takes a bit longer to generate images.

Keep in mind that you need to be specific in what you would like to generate.
1) Person making cookies (okay images)
2) Photo realistic image person making cookies. this type of prompt tends to give higher quality images.

Example 2
1) cartoon cat eating cookies
2) Cartoon cat, eating cookies on white isolated background (remember to use the effects buttons and reference images)

>>Commas, brackets, and other punctuation matters.<<

Key take away, be specific while being general.

Cheers,
O. Nate

In general lately. Refreshing gives the same images. It now costs 2 credits per image, one for the sh* preview and another for the sh* upscale. Booo this is very bad

October 19, 2024

Hey @MMDeire

You can turn fast mode off and use 1 credit.
If you know specifically what you want and have the time to generate images slow mode is the way to go.

Cheers,
O.Nate

Thank you, where is the setting you mentioned, to go back to 4 fully rendered images with each search?

Hello @Alexandras Bilder,

I think the issue is you are generating in fast mode which generates smaller scale images faster. Please see the message at the top of this thread for how to turn fast-mode off.
