Are Firefly Third-Party Models Safe for Adobe Stock?

Hello Adobe team,

I’m a Firefly Pro user and Adobe Stock contributor. I understand that Adobe Firefly’s own models are commercially safe and suitable for stock submission.

However, Firefly also provides access to third-party models (such as Gemini, GPT Image, Ideogram, Runway, FLUX, etc.).

Could you please clarify the following points officially:

  1. When using third-party models inside Firefly, are these models accessed via enterprise/paid APIs or consumer/free APIs?
  2. Do outputs generated with Firefly’s third-party models receive the same commercial usage and indemnification guarantees as Adobe Firefly models?
  3. Are Adobe Stock contributors allowed to submit images generated using Firefly third-party models, provided the “Created using generative AI” checkbox is selected and all content guidelines are followed?
  4. If allowed, will Adobe provide documentation or written confirmation stating that Firefly’s third-party model outputs are safe for commercial stock licensing?

Clear guidance on this would greatly help contributors avoid accidental policy violations.

Thank you for your time and support.

"Are Adobe Stock contributors allowed to submit images generated using Firefly third-party models, provided the “Created using generative AI” checkbox is selected and all content guidelines are followed?"

Yes,  Adobe began accepting Ai assets in 2022. Firefly was introduced in 2023. So it goes to follow that third-party assets can be submitted if the appropriate boxes are checked.

"If allowed, will Adobe provide documentation or written confirmation stating that Firefly’s third-party model outputs are safe for commercial stock licensing?"

Seems that would be the responsibility of each individual partner.
