Question

content flagging

I am creating a childrens educational animation series. I am indigenous Palawa and am basing it upon culture, endemic species and unique landscapes of Lutruwita. AI assistant in Firefly asures me that my content is within acceptable limitations, however an overly zealous, blanket approach to video generation moderation filters implemented by Adobe is causing the issue solely. This is unfortunate as completely incapacitates creativity and direction. Please address otherwise i will have no option than to use alternative AI platforms. Very dissapointing. Regards Craig

    Hi Nate,

    Thanks for the advice.

Its a sad endictment of society if we can’t use the word “boy, girl, child, children” when using AI for image/video generations or other.

I can when using competitors AI prompts such as in SuperGrok. If anything is sensitive it will suggest workarounds in prompts which generally solves the issues and allows one to proceed.

Firefly AI and Adobe in general falls well behind here and moderators really need to review their useage of words and related internal policies, through better balancing of word context, through the way they are being used.

Rather than a blanket content moderation, blocking approach of even everyday words such as boy, child, girl etc. which are non-offensive words.

I think if i have no luck going forward to will likely give up on using Firefly due to the reasons outlined above.

    Lift your game Adobe!

    Thanks Craig

    Hi craigmcd,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

For your reference, to share Board links properly, please ensure you select the correct setting by choosing “Anyone with the link.”

What accessing your links looks like

As our expert @Oh.N8 said, most Firefly models do not generate videos that depict children or child‑like scenes, in order to ensure safe and responsible use of the tool.

While Firefly models and most partner models have restrictions around representing children in video generation, the Runway Gen‑4.5 and Kling 2.5 Turbo models do allow child depiction. Please use these models for your requested generation.

Let us know if you have any other questions, we’ll be glad to help.

    OK thanks for the advice.

I fixed the sharing link on my board as suggested.

AI assistant in Firefly is frustratingly restricted. Answers are contradictory and confusing at times. It needs to have greater access to content flagging policies and other relevant information for quick accurate responses. It has some way to go when compared to SuperGrok etc.

    Thanks again.

    Hey @craigmcd

As long as there are no words related to children for example “boy, girl, child, children”… are examples of words but not a complete list as there are many languages.

Make sure not have images that look like / resemble children such as: fairies and so on.

Many of the other AI models have a similar stance.

You can use young “man” Or “woman”.

    Cheers

    Nate
