Create images based on the DPI of the reference images, not the base of 72 DPI only.

While I like using Firefly to help create images, the only problem I have with it is Firefly changing the DPI of my images to 72 DPI, which causes loss of detail in the final image.  I primarily use Firefly to change color of apparel for our product images, mainly camo color options using a camo pattern image as my secondary image to the main reference image.  My images are set to 300 DPI but the output of the Firefly image is 72 DPI which casues loss of detail and aliasing in the final image.  If I’m going to pay to use it, I want to be able to set whatever final image sizing I want.  Using the Firefly AI models is rather disappointing at 1k or 2k final output so I have to use Gemini 3.1 so I can get a 4k output but at a loss of resolution.  Give us the option to set the output DPI to make this more useable.

    Hi wayne_carey,
Thank you for sharing your experience.

We understand your concern about Firefly changing your images from 300 DPI to 72 DPI. At the moment, Firefly outputs are set to 72 DPI by default, and there isn’t currently an option to adjust that setting.

As a workaround, you can resample the output back to 300 DPI in Photoshop or another editor without changing the pixel dimensions, which helps preserve detail.

We’ll make sure your feedback about having control over the output DPI is passed along to the product team, as this would make Firefly more useful for workflows like yours.

Thank you for responding.  Yes, I’m already having to resize my images but some of them are not useable anymore because the down sampling casues serious moray patterns in the final images.  So it’s hit and miss while costing me credits. Yes, I do mark it with a thumbs down and note the issue.
