Creating Ai Imagery using elements from photographs I have.

Hi All, I am a designer/photopgrapher. I also own a Victorian Water Pumping Station in the North of England. I have collected some vintage images of the engine room inside the building. What I would love to be able to do is create images in Ai (Firefly) using these old photographs, but adding workmen and other details (steam etc)

Is this possible using Firfly?

Back in the day I would have taken a photograph, scanned it in, then used Adobe Photoshop and created layers to blend in other images. But this was a long drawn out process. So I'm just wondering if Firefly can

help to streamline this process.

Hey Ian,

In use case like this, you could attempt to add the people in, in PS. What I mean is select a spot and type in the prompt in the generation box.  The new harmonization tool could be of use as well.

I am just not sure how well it would create certain era clothing styles.

Cheers

Hi Nate, Thank you for coming back to me on this. I will give it a go. What inspired me to start thinking about the possibilities is a guy called Tony Karpinski, he's an artist but also has an Instagram account called 'caliyacht'. the images on this account are all created in Ai. They show various characters in Old London Town. They are stunning and have so much depth. And, some of the images have London landmarks in them, like London Bridge etc. Worth a look if you get the time.
