Creative Challenge: Missed Connections

Ever have a project you almost finished?
A file you closed… but never forgot?

This Valentine’s Day, we’re playing matchmaker with your unfinished ideas.

The Challenge: Revisit an old creative project you once abandoned and ask yourself: “What if?”
What if you’d taken it just a little further? What if it had found its perfect ending?
Be playful, nostalgic, curious, or romantic with your story.

The prompt I used: Cute Valentine’s Day illustration of two cartoon characters exchanging love letters, cozy café setting, warm lighting, heart decorations everywhere, soft hand-drawn style, playful and cheerful mood.

What to Submit:

  • Your results: Generations on "Missed connections"
  • Share the text prompt and the features you used for your creation.

Submission Deadline:

  • Please submit your creations by Feb 15, 2026, 12:00 AM PT (GMT+7).

How to Participate

1/ Create Your Image:

  • Launch Adobe Firefly and select the Text to Image feature
  • Create a prompt and generate your image. Need ideas? Visit the community tab for inspiration, or ask here for ideas.

2/ Capture Your Creation:

  • Once satisfied with your image, download it

3/ Submit Your Entry:

  • Come back to this thread, click “Reply,” paste your image, and describe the prompt you used.
  • Hit “Post” to submit your entry.

💌 Because sometimes… the one that got away just needed Firefly.

Thanks,

Kartika

    Och aye the noo

The mating dance of the kilted scotsman and scotswoman. In the background we see glens and lochs and a castle. It is golden hour.  There is a bonfire. The camera is wide angle and low loooking up.

Prompt: Make a happy caricature of this photo, as an alcohol ink artist. She is standing on a patio outside with lilac trees in the background, and a pleasant sunny day with blue sky and minimal clouds. On the table in front of the artist is a paper covered in beautiful liquid alcohol ink colours as referenced. The artist holds a dropper bottle with clear fluid in her left hand, and heat gun (turned off) in her right hand. There is an iphone on a tri-pod to capture a video. There are other alcohol ink bottles strewn about on the table, paint brushes, and a roll of paper towel. The corners of the paper are held down by small rocks instead of tape.

I used two reference images: myself, and my artwork. If only I had more time so I could make more art and process videos… 😅

This image came to my mind as I’ve been thinking about if I missed anything ever really in life. This is an imaginary exhibition if I would have continued my art education instead of becoming a graphic designer. I forgot to write down the promt. 😑

    Reply (supportive, natural tone):

That’s a powerful thought — and honestly, it doesn’t sound like you missed anything so much as you chose a different path. Becoming a graphic designer is still a deeply creative journey, just expressed in another medium.

What’s beautiful here is that the feeling — the “imaginary exhibition” — is still alive in you. That means the artist part never went anywhere. If anything, your design experience probably gave you tools and perspective that would make your art today even stronger than it might have been back then.

And hey… not writing down the prompt is painfully relatable. 😑 But sometimes the mystery is part of the magic. If you’d like, I can help you recreate a similar prompt based on the vibe you remember.

A red Shiba Inu and a black and tan Shiba Inu, sitting across from each other at a table, sharing a plate of spaghetti. European cafe, warm light, early evening.

I also wondered what a Firefly video of the image would look like...
