Difficulty performing garment transfers in Firefly

I'm running into an issue with Adobe Firefly while trying to create consistent images for my e‑commerce clothing catalog, and I'm hoping someone here might have guidance or a workflow solution.

My goal is fairly straightforward:

  • I have AI-generated models that I created myself.

  • I also have product images of garments that my company owns.

  • I want to transfer or place the garment from one reference image onto the same model in another image, while preserving:

    • the model

    • pose

    • lighting

    • background

    • overall studio consistency.

Essentially, I'm trying to swap the clothing while keeping the same model and scene, so my catalog images remain consistent across products.

However, when I attempt this using Nano Banana Pro through Firefly, I run into problems such as:

  • the edit failing or being blocked

  • the garment not transferring correctly

  • the model's face or body being altered

  • the system seemingly restricting the edit.

Some of my products are undergarments (lingerie / high-cut styles) since this is for a clothing catalog, so I'm wondering if this may be triggering certain content filters even though the context is standard fashion photography.

Important context:

  • The models are AI-generated, not real individuals.

  • The garments belong to my company.

  • The intended use is legitimate e‑commerce product imagery.

Has anyone successfully done reliable garment transfers or clothing swaps in Firefly while maintaining the same model and scene?

If so, I’d really appreciate advice on:

  • prompt structure

  • reference image order

  • any Firefly settings that improve consistency

  • whether this workflow is currently supported or limited by policy.

I’ve generated these previously, however, the past week, I run into the “Can’t load” almost everytime.Thank you in advance for any help or insights.

    Hi mp03,

Thank you for raising this question.

The best tool for combining multiple images is Mashup by Gemini 2.5 Flash Image preset (Boards), which merges several inputs into a single new image that incorporates their visual elements.

Regarding lingerie transfers, this isn’t supported because applying clothing directly to a model would trigger a user guidelines violation related to nudity.

We’ve heard from many creators in professional photography and e‑commerce who find this limitation impacts their workflow. If you’d like, you can join the ongoing thread requesting a solution and share your perspective there.

I hope this helps, and please feel free to reach out with any other questions.
