Question

Failure to recognise a simple instruction

I am trying to create a simple line drawing icon with a plain white background that I can use in powerpoint.  It keeps producing complex icons with all sorts of different dark backgrounds.  Any ideas how I get it to simplify?  Have tried all sort of different ways to describe it.

Hello @richard_9189,

Thank you for your message. I am sorry you are having this problem.

Text to vector in Illustrator is the best tool for creating icons. I have found that you can get good results by setting the content type "icon" and the detail to minimum:

and using the "Flat" effect:

You can also specify the colours you want it to use:

These are some of the ones I created:

If you have to use Firefly, using another icon as a style reference can help. I have tried using these styles, but it is still hard to get it to minimise detail:

Hey @richard_9189
Maybe consider using Adobe Express?
There are a lot of free icons and such in Express.
