Firefly history access

I looked at my Firefly generation history today and it seems that some of my past generations have dropped off my page.

Looking at the Firefly help page (below), there isn’t anything about when this functionality began (so how far in the past you can expect to see) and if there are any limitations (maximum amount of content available).
https://helpx.adobe.com/au/firefly/web/access-your-files/view-generation-history.html

With my history page, I am wondering if there is a problem on my side or if it is a Firefly history limitation.

On a side but related thing, in the early days of Firefly, you could create a shareable link to your generated images. I did this and saved those URLs, Now if I go to those URLs, the pages are no longer available with a ‘Page does not exist, Check the URL and try again’ message. An example is:
https://firefly.adobe.com/shared/texttoimage?id=urn%3Aaaid%3Asc%3AAP%3Ada0cb0b0-0ef2-4d89-a6a7-ddb606ff96c4

So to confirm my questions:

  • Is the generation history supposed to be unlimited or is there a number or other limit?
  • Are the old shared URLs completely gone now - ie. no way to access?

    Hi DeanUtian,
Thanks for reaching out with your questions.

We’ve reached out to the product team, and here is what they shared with us:

    • "some of my past generations have dropped off my page."

      • This should not be happening, history should continue to load by using the infinite scroll. Using search might help, as well as reversing the sort order.

    • “ Now if I go to those URLs, the pages are no longer available with a ‘Page does not exist’..”

      • This is expected, that was a very early sharing integration (from before Gen History) that was barely used anymore, and it has been retired.

Let us know if this was helpful or if you still have any other questions.

    Thanks @Hajar Toutsi

Today my past generations are loading. I haven’t done anything different to what I was doing before. Yesterday, I scrolled down and saw a limited amount of generative content. Today, as I scroll down, more load. So not sure why the loading was not happening yesterday.

Can I get a confirmation on how far back the history goes? I’m guessing that you only see content from when this feature started. There is definitely content I had created that is not in the history.

On the search with the history, can you only search by name, so not by date created?

I had guessed that the old shareable links had been retired. And assumed that there was no way of accessing them. It would have been nice if they could have been rolled into the history.

To answer my own question on search:
It appears the main search is by a descriptive word/phrase which could be part of the filename. It does not seem easy to search by year or any time period. However, if you search by a descriptive word, the results do how long ago (months/year) the image was generated.
