Firefly in Illustrator, Commercial Use Query

Hi Community,

With regards to using Firefly within Illustrator - my understanding is that all generative outputs (using only Firefly models, not 3rd parties eg Nano Banana), can be used commercially for client projects (ie on packaging, clothing/merch, communication {print, billboard, video}, etc).

No outputs contain any Beta labels - only Firefly 3 & 4 have been used.

Would this understanding be correct?

Many thanks in advance!

Please note that Adobe has terms of use which include guidelines use of Adobe generated AI content.  Those are detailed in these documents:  Adobe Generative AI User Guidelines and Adobe Generative AI Additional Terms.

There are a number of factors for you to consider whether you can use AI generated content commercially. You should review those with your legal counsel.

On your question, I should note I am not an Adobe employee and do not represent them. A fair reading of their terms and conditions would indicate that Adobe does not restrict you from using content generated with Adobe models commercially as long as it was not generated with a beta model that specifically says it cannot be used commercially.
