Firefly models will no longer process any image containing a number in the reference field

80% of the way through a project requiring 70 images, Firefly 4 began to give the ‘Something went wrong. Please try again later.’ Error message with the sad puppy dog eyes.

I’ve now tested all the Firefly models and they all have the same issue. I simplified my reference jpg to contain only the number ‘1’ on a white background.

As of last week (Aug.19th 2026), it suddenly stopped working. Before that over I had generated 36 images using a number in the reference field. I’ve tried using all the partner models but results aren’t consistent with the 58 images I’ve already produced. Also, my credits didn’t reset on Aug 22nd as they were supposed to, which I had counted on when doing extensive testing on the 21st.

I allowed tech support remote control of my computer Aug. 20th to test and retrieve a HAR file. I was told I would receive an email but am still waiting (Aug. 23rd). I will attach the HAR file again here.

If you have two different subscriptions, you could have two separate reset dates. They should return to 100% on September 9th!

Was support able to fix your problem?

Thanks for responding. No, I haven’t heard back from tech support since I sent them the reference image on Aug 24th. It’s the 27th today.

According to Gemini the roll over date for credits only occurs on one of the two dates. But if each date renews only the credits for that plan, they might have partially renewed? I did so much testing on the 21st expecting a full roll over and didn’t keep track.

I am very frustrated to still be waiting on a fix, is there anything I can do on my end? Adobe has my har file and the reference image that consistently produces the error.

Hey @rebeccaremme

They will get in contact with you. It takes time to identify what is happening and it is the weekend.

Thank you Oh.N8, I received an email from tech support Mon Aug 24 near 9pm est. They believed they had fixed the issue, but testing on my side gave the same error. I’ve sent them the image that I’ve been using as a reference in the composition field. Any images with a number still return the error message.

My credits are still at 18%, and now Sept 9th shows as the reset date. Are the credits supposed to return to 100% at reset dates? Do I have 2 different reset dates due to subscribing to both Photoshop and Illustrator packages? (was showing Aug 22 but they didn’t reset)

I am very glad there was a response and that it is being worked on. (Aug 25th)
