Question

Firefly Video rejects reference image due to Content Credentials — possible false positive

Hello Adobe Support,

I am experiencing an issue when uploading a reference image to the native Adobe Firefly Video Model.

Firefly displays an error stating that the image has Content Credentials indicating it cannot be used with generative AI features.

I inspected the original image locally using the official c2patool v0.28.2.

The inspection found no explicit assertion prohibiting generative AI training, inference, or usage. The file hash and signature matched. The credential was reported as trusted after loading the official trust list, although a timestamp trust warning remains.

Could you please investigate whether this is a false positive or an additional Firefly-side restriction?

I would like to know:

1. Which Content Credentials assertion or validation condition triggered the rejection?
2. Is this a known issue with reference-image uploads?
3. Can the original image be used with Firefly Video without removing or modifying its Content Credentials?

I can provide a redacted diagnostic report if needed.

Thank you.

    Hey, @smart_view7a47 !

    Can you provide this diagnostic? Also, if you could provide this extra info:

    • The reference image that you are trying to use;
    • The AI model that you are using;
    • A screenshot from the error.

    After that, we can investigate further.

    Awaiting on your reply,

    Thanks,

    Gabriel
