Firefly Won’t Let Me Generate Any More Images After Just a Few Uses

After Google searches and looking through the Adobe forums, I see that Firefly issues are rampant. I am spending a fortune for this monthly Creative subscription. They show all of these videos about all the things you can create. So I was excited to take my 4,000 credits and start exploring. First, I want to see the difference between the different engines. So I created a text to image prompt that I wanted to try with each engine and see which I thought was the best. I went through the 4 Adobe engines. Very poor results. They didn’t really follow my prompts and the results were very amateurish. So then I clicked over to the third party engines. I was immediately hit with the message “Slow Down. For security reasons we limit too many generations in a short amount of time. Please try again later”. There are so many things wrong with this message. First, it was only my 5th or 6th generation in a matter of weeks. Weeks ago I spent hours creating videos and images without ever receiving this message. Yet within 5 minutes of this session I was suddenly blocked. And this was at 3:30 am ET, so not a highly trafficked time on their servers. The message gives no real explanation for why it occurred. And worse, it gives you no estimate of when you can try again or how to fix the issue. So you are expected ti just keep coming back dozens of times only to get the same non-descript message.  I researched online and read about ad blockers, clearing cache and such. But this is not the problem. I get the same message on a Windows laptop, a Macbook, an iphone app and an ipad app. So Adobe charges you a massive amount of money and then blocks your ability to generate anything with no warning and no answers on when you can resume. And since your credits don’t carry over to the next month, Adobe can just run out the clock and cause you to lose thousands of credits. This seems criminal. After reading the multitude of similar issues I smell a class action lawsuit. I can’t imagine this product being any worse than it is. This in addition to the hundreds of credits I already wasted by Adobe’s engines generating unusable garbage that didn’t come close to following my prompts. Hot garbage. Shame on Adobe for such a horrible user experience.

@avid_Genied6c6 Thank you for understanding, I don’t make the rules.

I don’t understand why we have to do this: however, we need to log out of our Creative Cloud App and log back in.

After getting a new plan, log out of the creative cloud app to reset the functions of Firefly. Log out then back in to the Creative Cloud App, after you get a new subscription or change subscription.

    Hey @fierce_Solace651e
Each plan is different. Sometimes starting a new tab helps. I honestly don’t know.

I’ve reached out a few times regarding credit issues and I’m tired of the same generic response. Adobe you don’t care for your customers, you guys care for a coin. There’s no way some people are spending money every month for this quality. Credits don’t carry over, you get a message saying that you “ you need to slow down”, the price of video generations went up, I can go on with issues. When does it stop? When do you big companies stop nickel and dimeing people? The economy is already bad, god forbid you make a decent product with a reasonable cost when everything else is expensive.

The credits don’t CARRY OVER??!???? Stop the press. That is complete bull. I had this exact same experience, except yesterday I had about 5k credits and today after many, MANY incorrect generations it just stopped working and froze, the came back and said that my account has no credit….

    Hi @Blissful_Serenity34a2,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I completely understand how frustrating this must be, especially when you've invested in a Creative Cloud subscription, have available credits, and are unable to continue generating content due to a vague "Slow Down" message.

The behavior you're describing is not the experience we want users to have. We also understand your concern about the lack of clarity around why the limit was triggered, how long it may last, and what steps can be taken to resume generating content.

To help us better investigate what may have happened, could you please provide a few additional details?

    Questions for Investigation

    • Is the issue still occurring, or have you been able to generate content since posting?
    • Are you receiving the "Slow Down" message only when using third-party models, or does it also appear when using Adobe's native models?
    • Approximately when did you first encounter the message (date and time, including timezone)?
    • Does the message appear immediately when you attempt a generation, or only after submitting a prompt?
    • Are you using Firefly on the web, desktop app, or mobile app when the issue occurs?
    • Have you noticed whether the restriction applies to image generation, video generation, or both?
    • Could you share a screenshot of the message you're seeing?

I am experiencing the same thing. Ive generated 5 images total today using the iOS app. It only happens with third party models. The images I’ve generated have come out fantastic, and I was considering subscribing, but not if this is what I can expect.

    Hey @avid_Genied6c6
This could occur with a Free Trial. It is something I noticed with different plan options.
