Firefly won't open psd files!

It was a design choice for Adobe Firefly to accept image files but not Photoshop files an reference images, keyframes, etc. Accepting a PSD file, which could be very complex, could take a lot of computation to flatten into an image file before processing in the image or video generation. So, unfortunately, as you probably know, you would need to export an image from Photoshop before using as reference image, keyframe, etc.
