Formal Complaint: Repeated Firefly Failures, Missing Credits, and Unresolved Customer Support

Dear Adobe Customer Support,

I am writing to express my serious dissatisfaction with both the reliability of Adobe Firefly and the exceptionally poor customer support I received when attempting to resolve the issue.

Approximately 80% of my Firefly image processing attempts have failed, repeatedly displaying the message: “An error occurred. Please try again later.”

Each operation costs 20 generative credits, yet credits have been deducted even when the operation fails and no result is delivered. This is unacceptable. Customers should not be charged for operations that Adobe's own systems fail to complete.

My screenshot shows Topaz Gigapixel selected at 2× enlargement, the Swedish error message “Ett fel uppstod. Försök igen senare.”, and six history tiles marked with an exclamation symbol alongside five photo thumbnails. This documents repeated failures; I ask Adobe to check the operation and credit records to establish the total number of credits that should be restored.

Unfortunately, my experience with your customer support was equally disappointing.

After explaining the problem clearly to your automated assistant, I received irrelevant information about subscription cancellation and refund policies. I was then transferred to a human representative named Shreedhar, who failed to address my question, offered to transfer me to another department without providing any meaningful assistance, and subsequently left the conversation without resolving anything.

Not a single substantive answer was provided, despite the simplicity and clarity of my original request.

What should have been a straightforward technical and billing inquiry turned into a frustrating waste of time. As a paying Adobe customer, I find this standard of service deeply disappointing, particularly from a company with Adobe's reputation and market position.

I am requesting:

  1. Restoration of all generative credits deducted for operations that failed to produce a result.
  2. A clear explanation of Adobe's policy regarding credits consumed by unsuccessful operations.
  3. An investigation into the recurring Firefly errors and whether the credit deduction mechanism is functioning correctly.
  4. A review of the customer support experience described above, including the handling of my inquiry by your representative.

I expect a substantive response addressing these specific concerns, rather than another automated explanation of unrelated refund policies.

Adobe promotes its AI services as professional creative tools. Reliability, transparent billing, and competent customer support should be fundamental parts of that promise.

I look forward to your response and an appropriate resolution.

Sincerely,
Henry Cardona

Credits are SUPPOSED to be returned if “something went wrong” or similar error messages do not produce a finished result, though not necessarily immediately. Make note of your credit count to see if you are being properly credited. I’m not sure how long it takes for credits are returned, but I would think it should happen within 24 hours at the very most.
