Generation History Full of Empty Thumbnails

I generated thousands of images in Firefly 6 months ago and now I only see them as empty thumbnails and when I click on any of them I only get a "Something went wrong, Please try again later." message. They don't appear in the Creative Cloud Windows or Mac App at all but I could have swore I saw them a few days when I reactivated my subscription.

I've tried signing out and back in on both my Mac and PC but it doesn't change anything. It says to try again later, is Firely History down right now?

Thank you,

Shayne

Hi @shipwrecker,

After you terminate, Adobe generally keeps data for 30 days. If your account is terminated longer than that, the data is subject to deletion. I suspect what has happened is while your account was in terminated status, the images might have been deleted, but all of the meta data was not. What you see now is the meta data that was not deleted pointing to images that no longer exist.  The other possibility is that the images are disconnected from the meta data as an artefact of the deletion process.

In either case, this is a bug, and Adobe is submitting a bug report.

Thank you @droopydog500

OMG, that makes so much sense! I actually remember now seeing many items slated for deletion when I came back and I pushed them to it. I had a quick look but before I did I coud have sworn I saw the Firefly files elsewhere. I did it to free up cloud space and felt most where from my old projects that I've abandoned to start new. However, some of those files are still precious to me.

I'll out to Adobe somehow and see if they can reconnect to the files I downloaded I wish to use. Thank you again for triggering this memory!

All the best,

Shayne

Yes, it's the same. I can only see recent history. Everything dated 6 months ago, which is the only time I used this, are just empty thumbs that error out when I try to view them.

I generated those on the last day of my previous subscription. I cancelled for that time and just restarted. I wonder if that has anything to do with it?

I have them all download though. I wish I could upload them and replace that lost history. I can't use them as references because of credential problems, which I dont understand how my credentials aren't embedded? I'm using the same account as back then.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thank you,

Shayne

Hi Shayne!

Thanks for writing in. Are you still unable to view the generation history?

Let us know.
