Generative Video Standards

I created an image using Firefly of a 16th-century indigenous American man - a Karankawa - standing on the Texas gulf coast. Then, using the image, I tried to create a Firefly generative video. I got a message that it was not in line with the standards. This was not a real human being. How does this violate the standards?

Has anyone had a similar problem and was it resolved?

Thank you for your message. I am sorry you are having this problem.

There are multiple reasons why an image can be rejected in image to video. In this case, I believe the reason is the amount of skin showing rather than whether it is a real person or not. The model seems to be conservative at this point, which I would expect in a beta. As the model learns and changes, it is possible images not accepted today might be accepted in the future.

Thanks! Unfortunately, indigenous people in 16th century south Texas were not big on wearing a lot of clothing.

I’m working on a short video documentary about the time that explorer Cabeza de Vaca spent living among the Karankawa tribe along the coast of modern day Texas.

Obviously, there are no images from then. I was hoping that generative video would be a way to recreate history.

Yes, I completely understand. This is a learning process and I think as we test the technology and report what is and is not working, it will get better at determining what it should accept and what it should block. Please bear with us as we go through this learning journey.

Keep in mind some 'words' can be seen as disrespectful or are not accepted by Firefly. You may consider using other words to get a similar result.
