Going Forward... Will Firefly Look at Words in Context

Understandably, it feels like the beta is cautious with allowed words and after spending time in Discord, I can totally see why but going forward...

  1. Will Firefly be able to look at words in context?
  2. Will the banned words list be global?

 

TEXT EFFECTS EXAMPLE

My word was: brownies (also used other words to test)
My prompt was: chocolate chip cookies and brownies

 

Firefly did:

  • allow me to use 'brownies' as the word
  • not allow me to use 'brownies' as the prompt

There have been a few other examples so maybe this is just growing pains 🙂

    We realize our method of restricting certain words is not optimal. We're actively working to improve our text lemmatizer and prompt moderation models and keywords to address this issue. In the meantime, please use the blue "Share Feedback" or the Report flag to let us know when we are flagging words incorrectly.
