Hi Adobe Colleagues, Based on the subscription i just purchased, my assumption woulf be that i can create AI videos up to 40 seconds, however the system is only allowing me to make 8 second videos, can you help me out please? Thanks in advance

    I am assuming you have the Firefly Pro plan, so let me clarify how it works: the plan includes up to 40 video generations, each with a maximum duration of 5 seconds, not a single 40‑second video.

    The amount of 5-second videos to be generated per plan


    At the moment, the longest duration available is 12 seconds, which can be selected when using the Sora 2 model.

    If you were expecting longer videos based on the subscription details, we’d be happy to review the information you saw and make sure everything is clear.
    Please share a screenshot or link to where the 40‑second duration was mentioned so we can investigate further

    This would be alright if the the engine would keep continuity between clips, but most of the time it doesn’t. Not only that, it regularly goes off and does something that wasn’t requested, and editing is a joke. If it changes anything at all, it changes too many thing so the clips can’t be edited together.

    i wanted a simple clip for a Mother’s Day gift mug asking it to have the same breed (dachshund) dog playing in the yard while the woman sips from a steaming mug- it generated everything- but the dogs in the background were obvious cartoons, so I went over to edit and simply put edit playing dogs to look realistic- the result?

    the woman’s hands and mug turned into dog heads.

     Tried a second time with an improved prompt from ChatGPT- and it just made the original video but shorter.

    How can we expect to make several clips when it can’t even make one??

    Using the same seed, prompt, and control settings is usually the best way to get similar results. If you’re able to share the prompt, model, and the clip you were trying to edit, we’d be happy to take a look and help you get more consistent outcomes.
