I want to send this to the printer but is png low res. Will this print on a prepress sharp?

    Hey @david_8802

    One Method to consider using:

    1. Upscale the Image (Increase Resolution)

To print without visible pixelation or blurriness, the image must be enlarged to the exact physical size it will be printed, at \(300\)

    • Open the image in Adobe Photoshop and go to Image > Image Size
    • Check the Resample box and change the method to Preserve Details 2.0or use an AI upscaler like Adobe Firefly.
    • Set the resolution to \(300\) pixels/inch
    • Adjust the width and height to your final physical print dimensions (e.g., \(8\) inches by \(10\) inches).

    2. Sharpen the Details

Because the upscaling process can sometimes create soft edges, you need to restore crispness before sending the file to press.

    • Go to Filter > Sharpen > Unsharp Mask
    • Start with an Amount of 150%  a Radius!of 1.5 pixels, and a Thresholdof (3).
    • Alternatively, for an in-browser tool to boost overall crispness, you can use the Online PNG Tools Sharpen Utility.

    3. Review for Transparency & Format

Check with your print vendor for their specific file requirements. While many printers prefer PDFs, if they specifically request a PNG:

    • Make sure all transparent backgrounds remain intact.
    • Do not use standard "Quick Export" methods, as they downgrade resolution to (72) PPI. Instead, go to File > Save As
