Question

I am noticing that the FireFly app is taking my credits with failed image generations. I am not seeing the credits credited back to my account.

When using FireFly and generating images, I notice when it fails the credits are not being credited back to my account. I have never really checked, but I just checked and after to failures in a row, the credits were taken out of my account, but not credited back. So I have no idea how many times this might have happened in the past, because I never checked and assumed my credits were being refunded.

Please advise.

    Hi Vinsonitus,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Before anything else, I want to reassure you that Firefly only deducts credits for successful generations. If a generation fails with an error, those credits are automatically returned to your balance.

What might be the reason for what you experienced, is that from the last time you checked your credits balance, you’ve runned multiple generations, some might be succesful (which will deduct credits from your balance) while others that failed will get what was deducted back to your balance.

What may have happened is that between the last time you checked your balance and the moment you saw the error, several generations were processed, some successful (which correctly used credits) and some that failed (which returned credits). When you open your credit count after a series of attempts, it can take a moment for the system to update and reflect all the successful and refunded generations. This can make it look like credits were taken after an error, even though they were not.

For the most accurate view of your usage, I recommend checking Your Stuff > Generation history. It shows each generation and exactly how many credits were used, so you can compare it directly with your balance.

I hope this helps clear things up, and if anything still looks off, feel free to share more details, I’m here to help.
