I have an issue using GPT Image X

I have this issue using GPT Image X. Happens with Safari and Chrome. Not sure why we should pay for subscription if the tools do not work or Adobe does not provide a valid way to report a bug and get a response.

we traced it down to a specific cause. When editing an image with a reference photo, GPT Image requires that reference to be a PNG file. In your case, the reference image you attached was a JPEG, and that's what triggered the error each time.

To fix it: convert your reference photo to PNG before uploading it (most phones and computers let you do this with a quick "save as" or "export as" from the Photos or Preview app), then try the edit again.

Hello,

I used a .png file for the reference and attempted again. I received the same error when using GPT.

I get this error even when attempting to edit a single picture and no reference.

Looking at what's coming through on our end, the failures are still tracing back to a JPEG reference image. Reference-based edits with GPT Image require PNG for every image, not just the newest one you added, so if there's a JPEG anywhere in the request (even a second or third image), the edit will fail. That includes attempts where you added a PNG alongside an existing JPEG reference.

Where I'd like more detail: when you say you got the same error editing a single picture with no reference at all, that's a different scenario than what we're seeing logged, and it would help to isolate whether this is truly reference-free or if a prior reference is somehow carrying over. Could you walk me through those exact steps: is it a straight edit of one uploaded image with no additional reference selected, and is that image itself a PNG? A quick screen recording or the exact prompt/image combo would let us pin this down precisely.

In the meantime, for the edits you're trying to get working, converting all reference images to PNG before upload should resolve the failures you've hit so far.
