Question

I've only very recently tried Firefly. It seems to generate fairly well. But the images I generate and download are rough, pixelated junk. No tools appear to fix them up.

Mac Mini, Ventura 13.4, Chrome Version 144.0.xxx. I've only very recently tried Firefly. It seems to generate fairly well. But the images I generate and download are rough, pixelated junk. Now I've read that the generated images ARE rough highly pixelated for speed issues. OK. But I'm supposed to be able to "upgrade" a generated image somehow into a much higher resolution and JPEG quality. Except, every tutorial I've seen has tool bars, windows with working tools, etc. My page has nothing. A text box, a Generate button, and a single image. Oh, and maybe a scroll of thumbnails of previous "generations" of the images from the current session. Does anyone have any advice as. to what I might be doing wrong? Or what Firefly is doing that I could fix? Oh, and, I open Firefly from my homepage in Creative Cloud Member page, Plan CC design Pro, or something. Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Hi @Bucky Edgett, the maximum size of Adobe Firefly-generated images is 2000 x 2000 pixels for standard generations. But, they have introduced Firefly Image Model 5, which can generate images at native 4MP resolution (approximately 4000 x 4000 pixels) without upscaling, offering higher quality for production use. Did you try that yet?

THanks, JEL. I tried that Model 5, and got a 2304x1792 PNG that still has fuzzy resolution. I also see that Generate and Edit tabs are different, but neither of them allow me to specify file size or resolution. I very much need a manual for using Firefly, but can’t find one. Thanks again.
