Keeps going back to the entire flag and not the parts I'm uploading

I uploaded a flag and asked for various changes. Then I put each element of the flag in a separate image. But when I upload the individual pieces, it puts the whole flag together. 

The green bar was my input image and the flag was my result. My prompt was "Glossy front-facing with soft shadow and slight depth, centered, beveled edges, no perspective tilt"
