Not understanding "MUTE COLORS"

What fun I am having as the lone marketing person in our almost-launch tech company! 

Firefly has given me some very useful assets.  One thing I am trying to do is mute some of the iterations, as they are very bright. Awesome for my dopamine, not awesome for presenting different Look and Feel. Thoughts?

I've tried muting several times with different prompts.
